A Stormy Week in California/The welcomed Rain

We adopted a puppy from the Irvine Animal Shelter for Christmas.  This week we took him to Treasure Island just south of Laguna Main and introduced him to the beach.  We had a really nice day as a family.  Trevor built a small hut with all the bamboo sticks that had washed up from the storm, Mackenzie walked Bodey around to investigate and Summer and Jayla jumped in full steam ahead with their imaginations and played a "game".  Then we all went for a walk and headed back up for lunch at Papa Taco's off of PCH.  It was a wonderful day! Christmas was two days later!

Summer's Broken Arm! November 12, 2010

Summer's Broken Arm:  Mommy and Daddy were at Tumbling to watch Jayla, Trevor and Summer during their last scheduled class at OC All Stars.  While sitting about 10 feet away from Summer she did three back handsprings with her teacher's support, when her teacher walked away she tried it on her own, landing the wrong way on her arm and breaking the alna and radius! - November 12, 2010 - We rushed to Mission ER, singing Christmas Carols on the way, trying to distract.  After re-setting her arm we went home late that evening.  Summer explained that the arm that she broke was her "best helper".

Our Babies

God has blessed Dan and I with four unique and wonderful children.  When Dan and I married in 1995 we never imagined what an exciting life we would begin together.  We started out with the first dependent.... Rambo, feeling pretty safe to start with the care of a cat, next was Rudi, our sweet golden retriever and then came our first baby, Mackenzie Darlene!

Mackenzie is now 12 and an excellent role model for her three younger siblings!  Jayla Noel, 9 years old, the most energetic, full of life sweetheart you will ever know.  Next Summer Louise, 6 years old, just broke her arm, we have learned what a courageous young lady she is along with her heart of gold!, last but never least is Trevor Alan, turning 5 next week and this is the little boy we prayed for, the exuberant and clever little man that keeps us all on our toes!
